The Panther’s Top Songs 2022

The Panther compiled the songs our staff had on repeat this academic year into a playlist for the Chapman community. Graphic by HARRY LADA, Art Director

Congratulations Chapman students! You did it. You finished another year of college. Summer is right around the corner and meditation on the past year is now upon us.

Looking back on this year, what were some songs that helped you get through those dreaded study sessions? What artist accompanied you at the gym or jamming out with friends? What genre comforted you during a heartbreak or a stress overload?

Upon further reflection, music is at the core of so many of these moments; narrowing down the soundtrack of our lives to one tune that embodies the last 12 months borders on impossible. But this was the task assigned to members of The Panther staff, who each submitted a song of their choosing that helped them endure this challenging academic year.

The result is a collaborative playlist from The Panther staff, linked below for the Chapman community to enjoy. Consider it a college-survival tool kit — from us to you — as well as an inside look at the personalities behind our publication.
