Delta Gamma and Phi Kappa Tau win Airbands

Students danced, cheered and lip-synced to Kesha while wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes at Airbands Oct. 11 and 12. Delta Gamma and Phi Kappa Tau won first place out of the eight competing teams with their Nickelodeon-themed routine. Delta Tau Delta and the Black Student Union’s homage to MTV landed them in second place. Pi Beta Phi and Phi Delta Theta placed third with their theme, “A Walk Through Time.” 

Alpha Phi and Phi Gamma Delta won Best Costumes for their rendition of “The Sandlot” and Kappa Kappa Gamma and Beta Theta Pi’s “Middle School Dance” routine won Best Original Theme. Best Choreography went to Delta Delta Delta and Pi Kappa Alpha for their “Breakout Artist” performance. Gamma Phi Beta, who hosted the event, and Team Shaka performed at all three shows but did not compete. Alpha Delta Phi (Adelphos) also performed their evolution-themed routine at the Friday night showing.
