It was a successful week for the Panthers in action. Seven different teams were in action, and all of them stayed competitive as we move deeper into the spring season.

Women’s lacrosse earned their first victory of the 2025 season on March 6 against Albion College with a major 17-2 win. Undeclared freshman Ella Seidel led with six goals during the game. They will play Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday, March 12 and are looking to continue this dominant momentum.

Men’s club lacrosse also came ready to play this week, beating the University of California, Santa Barbara 11-9 and losing a tight battle to Virginia Tech 13-12. They get a much needed break and won’t be back in action until March 22.

Men’s tennis won their match 4-3 against Christopher Newport University on March 4 and will play Sewanee on Tuesday of this week, and John Hopkins on Sunday.

Women’s tennis won both of their games within the week, beating The University of Mary Washington 4-2 and on March 7 they won 5-2 against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They also are competing against Sewanee this next week, as well as Vassar College and Babson College.

Softball split a doubleheader on Sunday against Illinois Wesleyan, winning 3-2 in the first and losing 3-0 in the second. The team will play another double header on Tuesday.

Baseball had a busy week with four games, falling short in three. On March 7 they beat Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 4-3. They had a double header against the University of Wisconsin on March 8, and finished 3-8 in the first and 6-8 in the second. March 9 they lost 5-9 to Willamette University. The team will play Dickinson College March 11.

Women’s water polo fell short of the win in their first conference game of the season against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College on March 5 losing 9-7. They finished the week in a better stride, beating California Lutheran University 14-13 on Mar. 8. Their next match will be Mar. 12 at California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
